Girl by the Sea

PTSD is practically a lifetime sentence to misery. Dependent on the person some people isolate themselves due to guilt; others are just mad or sad that they didn't die in the disaster... This mental illness is fueled upon guilt.

Most times people just can't function. The family they had wants to help them, but they don't want help. They can't go to work most times. Almost 70% of adults experience a very traumatic event, more than 20% will get PTSD. About 8% of Americans can have PTSD at any given time. After Hurricane Katrina the GDP fell by 3.8%. Many people has options to work, however there emotional stabilities would not permit.
